Terms of Service
Last updated: June 27, 2026.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, creating a short link, or otherwise using Kondaino, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. The service
Kondaino is a URL shortening service operated by DEC Group. This site, kondaino.com, is the public marketing site; registration, login, the dashboard, short-link redirects, and the API are provided at kdourl.com. References to "Kondaino," "we," "us," or "our" mean DEC Group and the service operated across both domains.
3. Eligibility & accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use Kondaino. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials and any API tokens confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Kondaino to create or distribute links that:
- Point to illegal content, malware, or phishing pages;
- Are used for spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or fraud;
- Infringe someone else's intellectual property or other legal rights; or
- Otherwise violate applicable law.
We don't pre-screen submitted URLs, but we may disable a link, suspend an account, or both, if we become aware of abuse.
5. Plans, pricing & payment
The free plan and its current limits, and the paid plan and its current price and limits, are described on /about and /features. There is no automated billing system today — upgrading from free to paid is arranged directly with us by emailing hello@kondaino.com. Payment is collected by Interac e-Transfer; once you request an upgrade, we'll reply privately with the recipient email and a one-time security password for the transfer. For your security, we never publish e-Transfer recipient details or security passwords on this site, and we never ask you to send a security password anywhere except directly to us. Specific payment amount and billing cycle are confirmed with you before anything is charged. We may change plan pricing or limits going forward; changes won't retroactively alter what you already agreed to pay for a current billing period.
6. API access
API access is available on the paid plan via a bearer token generated from your dashboard. You're responsible for keeping your token secret; treat it like a password. We may revoke a token or rate-limit API access if we detect abuse.
7. Short links, expiry & deletion
Short codes are not permanent identifiers reserved for you — once a link expires or is deleted, its code may be recycled and reused for a different link. Don't rely on a short link continuing to resolve forever, especially past its plan's expiry window. We may disable or delete any link that violates Section 4.
8. Intellectual property
Kondaino's name, logo, and software are owned by DEC Group. You retain whatever rights you already have in the destination URLs and content you link to; by submitting a URL to us, you grant us the limited right to store and redirect to it as part of providing the service.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Kondaino is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, including uptime or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DEC Group is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On deletion, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; we'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use Kondaino after a change means you accept the revised terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Dieppe, New Brunswick for any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Kondaino.
13. Contact us
Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@kondaino.com.
